"ESCO-Rivne" - Demonstration Project

Within the framework of project "Climate Change Mitigation in Ukraine through Energy Efficiency in Municipal District Heating (Pilot Project in Rivne)", which is carried out at support of the Global ecological fund, Program of development of UNO as organization-performer and Closed joint-stock company „Communal energyservice company Rivne" as recipient, practical realization of demonstration project was begun, with the purpose of confirmation a presence of cost-effective potential of energiefficiency.

CJSC "ЕSCО-Rivne" is inculcated projects to the amount of 1,5 million USD. Not only economic but also ecological and social effects are thus got.

The improvements of quality of services in the supply of hot water and heat felt a more than 50 thousand of habitants of Rivne population of microregion Pivnichniy and central part of city.

These results were attained during realization of wide spectrum of various projects. To them belong:

large projects such as building of first HEC in Rivne on the base of existent boiler room, gasket of modern thermal route;
middle projects such as the CHP reconstruction, the IHP building in 5 dwelling-houses;
small projects, such as establishment of knots an account and adjusting at schools of city, establishment of devices of the frequency adjusting and management by work of engines.

For realization of these projects the following contracts were implemented:


	Building of thermal network from a boiler room on the Kn. Vladimir st., 71 to the Thermal chamber № 39 in Rivne. The value of the contract makes - 787 542,20 USD. Customer - KHP "Comunenergiya". Performer - "Energoresursinvest", Lviv. A thermal network is executed from the steel pipelines of heatisolated pinopoliuretan in a polyethylene and zincked spiralcoiled shell. Introduction of this thermal network gave possibility to provide the round-the-clock supply of hot water in winter and summer periods and heatings in a winter period of microregion Pivnichniy and district of streets Fabrichna-Lonocombinat in Rivne. This contract execution allowed to economize: · thermal energy - 545 Gcal\year; · facilities - 101 200 UAH\month; · troop landings СО2 - 132 t.\year.

	Reconstruction of the system of automation of safety and adjusting of caldrons set in a boiler room on the Kn. Vladimir st. 71 in Rivne; Customer – СHP „Comunenergiya" Value of the contract makes – 72 295,00 USD. Performer – „Spectrum ТV" , Rivne. The basic task of the system of automation of safety and adjusting of caldrons is: it is measuring and preventive signaling of deviation from the legitimate values of basic parameters of work of caldron; it is technological defence, which influences on the stop of caldron, blocking in accordance with operating normative documents; it is automatic kindling of caldron; it is automatic adjusting of dilution in heating of caldron; it is the automatic adjusting of pressure is a pair in the drum of caldron; it is automatic adjusting of correlation between the amount of gas and air, which are given on a gas-ring with providing of optimum process of burning; it is executing signaling of the modes of operations of equipment and armature; it is under abnormal condition-preventive signaling of declination of parameters which are controlled from the legitimate values and general sound under abnormal condition-preventive signaling; it is indication and registration of parameters of work of caldron. This contract execution allowed to economize: · fuels (natural gas) – 423,6 th. m3\year; · facilities – 101 200 UAH\month; · troop landings СО2 – 793 t.\year.

	Reconstruction of steam-boilers in a boiler room on the Kn. Vladimir st., 71 in Rivne; The value of the contract makes – 79 245,60 USD. Performer – „Cotloenergoproect", Kharkov. On a boiler room 4 steam-boilers of brand B 25/15 GM. Before introduction of this measure expense pair by caldrons 25/15 GМ made 25 th\hours. During the reconstruction of caldrons the following works were executed: it is replacement of initial part of pairheater, movable pipes of screens; it is reconstruction and replacement of bearing-out cyclones; it is replacement of economizer and entrance collectors of heating screens; This contract execution gave possibility to provide the increase of power and pressure of pair of two caldrons. An expense after the reconstruction of caldrons makes a pair 28 t.\hour. This contract execution allowed to economize: · fuels (natural gas) – 423,6 th. m3\year; · facilities – 101 200 UAH\year; · troop landings СО2 – 793 t.\year.

	Reconstruction of gas-burning devices in a boiler room on the Kn. Vladimir st., 71 Rivne; The value of the contract makes – 33 933,60 USD. Performer – „Cotloenergoproect" Kharkov. This contract execution gave possibility to improve the process of burning of natural gas, that in the turn provided the decline of the troop landings of oxide of carbon in an atmosphere. This contract execution allowed to economize: · fuels (natural gas) – 423,6 th. m3\year; · facilities – 101 200 UAH\month; · troop landings СО2 – 793 t.\year.

	Arrangement of the system of the frequency adjusting of occasions of draft-blowing machines and network pumps in a boiler room on the Kn. Vladimir st, 71 in Rivne; The value of the contract makes is a 49 534,00 USD. Performer – „Spectrum ТV" , Rivne. This contract execution allowed to reduce day's use of electric power on 20 % due to optimization of work of draft-blowing machines and network pumps. Basic functions of frequency transformer: starting, stop, dynamic braking and braking to the complete stop, and also adjusting of speed of engine; energysaving, PI-regulator (speed of stream, pressure); sequence of braking; adjusting of speed with back communication on a tachometer or impulsive sensor; work in the mode is a "faster-slowly", S and U- similar curve of acceleration-braking, controller of speed, work in the foot-pace mode; automatic delight of the mobile loading with the search of the necessary loading (delight of motion); automatic limitation of time of work on lower speed, defence of engine and transformer of frequency. This contract execution allowed to economize: · electric power –201600 cVt-h.\year; · facilities – 101 200 UAH\year.

	Reconstruction of central thermal point on the Мitskevicha street, 5 , Rivne; This contract execution allowed to conduct dismantling of out-of-date equipment, and set to work after arrangement individually of thermal points in dwelling-houses on the Mitscevicha st., 5 and 7. In addition it allowed to pass to the two-pipe system of heatproviding, that a thermal network is laid from the modern preliminary isolated pipelines to the houses on the Mitscevicha street, 5 and 7, that in the turn gives the economy of thermal energy, in relation to the fourpipe system of heatsupply. This contract execution allowed to economize: · thermal energy – 74,2 Gcal\year; · facilities – 101 200 UAH\year; · troop landings СО2 – 18 t.\year.

	Arrangement of individual point in a dwelling-house on the Mitscevicha street, 5 , Rivne. This contract execution allowed to provide the round-the-clock hot water-supply of house, for the account: arrangement of modern heat-exchange equipment; arrangement of modern knot of account and adjusting of thermal energy; application of modern pump equipment, that in the turn yet and gives an economy to electric power. In addition, allowed to pass to the two-pipe system of heatproviding with four-pipe (from ЦТП heatkeeper in the system of heating and hot water was given) will allow to decrease the losses of thermal energy during its transporting to the users. This contract execution allowed to economize: · electric power – 180600,0 cVt-h.\year; · facilities – 101 200 UAH\year.

	Arrangement of individual point in a dwelling-house on the Mitscevicha street, 7, Rivne; This contract execution allowed to provide the round-the-clock hot water-supply of house for the account: arrangement of modern heat-exchange equipment; arrangement of modern knot of account and adjusting of thermal energy; application of modern pump equipment, that in the turn yet and gives an economy to electric power. In addition, allowed to pass to the two-pipe system of heatproviding with four-pipe (from CTP heatkeeper in the system of heating and hot water was given) will allow to decrease the losses of thermal energy during its transporting to the users. This contract execution allowed to economize: · electric power – 180600,0 cVt.-h.\year; · facilities – 101 200 UAH\month.

	Arrangement of individual thermal point in dwelling-houses on a street Kievsca, 42, 77 and Dubensca, 42 in Rivne. Introduction of this contract improved services of heatproviding of dwelling-houses, due to establishment of modern meter of thermal energy and injectia heatchanger. This heatchanger is used for warming up of water in the system of heating due to the instantaneous transmission of thermal energy from primary heatkeeper (pair, condenser, overheated water) to second heatkeeper (to water in the thermal network of object). Also by heatchanger and to the pump gave possibility to adjust the system of heatproviding of these dwelling-houses. This contract execution allowed to economize: · thermal energy – 74,2 Gcal\year; · facilities – 101 200 UAH\year; · troop landings СО2 – 18 t.\year.

	Thermal isolation of pipelines on a boiler room on the Kn. Vladimir st., the 71 . Total worth of contract makes – 65 000 UAH; economy of thermal energy – 48 Gcal\year; it is power efficiency of measure makes – 2520 UAH\year; This contract execution allowed to decrease heatlosing of thermal energy through the surface of pipeline, that in the turn provided stable work of caldrons and economy of fuel.

	Implementation of building works of caldron 25/15 GМ on a boiler room on the Кn. Vladimir st., 71. General value makes– 51 176 UAH; it is economy of thermal energy – 50 Gcal\year; it is power efficiency of measure makes – 2583 UAH\year; Implementation of these works provided the improvement of thermal isolation of caldron, diminishment of losses of thermal energy, stabilization of work of caldron and economy of fuel.

	The reconstruction of thermal point on a street is Caucasian, 6; it is total worth – 340 000 UAH.; are project works – 24 410,62 UAH; · the economy of thermal energy – 1 468 Gcal\year; · it is power efficiency of measure makes – 75 822 UAH\year; Establishment of modern heat-exchange equipment will allow considerably to decrease the losses of thermal energy, and accordingly to improve heatproviding of building. Possibility of adjusting of temperature condition will appear except for that will allow to save thermal energy.

	Establishment of commercial knot of account and adjusting of thermal energy. General value makes– 29 687,55 UAH; the economy of thermal energy – 435 Gcal\year; it is power efficiency of measure makes – 36 560 UAH\year; Establishment of commercial knot of account and adjusting of thermal energy allows to optimize a temperature condition at school, that allows to decrease morbidity of children in a winter period.
