The Grand Opening ceremony of Rivne Central Municipal Hospital boiler-plant took place on 28th of October, 2005.

On October 4-5, 2005 the "ESCO Europe 2005" International Conference and Exhibition took place in Vienna, Austria.

On 28th of June – 10th of July, 2005 Mr. Geordie Colville and Dr. Suresh Hurry visited Ukraine with the purpose of participation in Steering Committee meeting and Project Documents for the second phase development.

Mr. Geordie Colville is the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Bratislava Representative and the Project’s Manager.

Dr. Suresh Hurry is the Project’s Senior technical adviser.

On 29th of July, 2005 Mr. Geordie Colville and Dr. Suresh Hurry have visited the city of Rivne. They had a meeting with Rivne Mayor Mr. Victor Chaika and Rivne Oblast Governor Mr. Vasyl Chervoniy. Mr. Geordie Colville and Dr. Suresh Hurry were accompanied by the Project Manager Mr. Alexey Paschenko and “ESCO-Rivne” Director Mr. Victor Zakladny

16th of May, 2005 – Mr. Francis M. O’Donnell has visited the city of Rivne.

Mr. O’Donnell is the United Nations Resident Coordinator and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Representative in Ukraine.

The agenda of Mr. O’Donnell’s visit foresaw a lot of meetings with local authorities ans counterparts. In particular he had a meeting with Rivne Oblast Governor Mr. Vasyl Chervoniy, Rivne Mayor Mr. Victor Chaika and Ostrog Mayor Taras Pustovit.

March 15 – 19, 2005 ISH exhibition held in Frankfurt am Main (Germany) presenting advanced heating and boiler technologies of 2 350 leading European companies. The number of visitors is a barometer of success for the exposition 192 175 people visited the Exhibition site (every forth visitor came from abroad). The total area of the exhibition has made about 254 000 m².

November, 2004 Visit of Mr.Louis-Philippe Lavoie, the ESCO-business specialist of Canadian company “Econoler – International”.

The purpose of this visit was to estimate the UNDP / GEF Project "Climate Change Mitigation through Energy Efficiency in Municipal District Heating" ( the Pilot Project in the city of Rivne) Phase One results, and possibilities of Project’s extension with Phase Two.

Mr. Lavoie visited the sites where energy saving projects were implemented by ESCO-Rivne and promising objects for up-to-date energy saving technologies to be implemented. Being a specialist in ESCO-business Louis-Philippe Lavoie highly appreciated the potential of Ukrainian energy saving / efficiency market.

On September 16, 2004 in the Conference-Hall of Rivne Oblast Rada the conference on Energy Efficiency in Municipal District Heating and Housing Services reform took place. Deputy-Heads of Municipalities and Oblast Administrations, Heads of Housing Services and Directors of District Heating Companies participated in the conference. The special attention of the conference was paid to the Municipal Energy Service Company in the city of Rivne (ESCO-Rivne) experience.
